    Racing rig space

    Hi guys,

I have a space in the house where I can hopefully put some sort of simrig in the future (not now).
I don't know how or what I will do, but for the space I'm thinking 3 screens will be too wide.

Does anyone know if a two screen setup is something that could work for simracing.
Essentially 1 monitor in the middle and one on the right to see the mirrors?

Anyone who has some sort of bought or built rig knows what the approximate dimensions of the whole thing are?

two monitors is great, not both showing the game of course because then the edge of both would be in the middle of your view :D

But I always have music on my second screen when I practice or sometimes during fun races and in the WTCC race I switched the music during the race :D

But if you only want to use it for racing then it's either 1 or 3 screens imo

    :D haha, nice!

Well, it would not be two screens with the border in the middle.
The idea is that I'd sit in front of the one monitor like in my current setup, but just have a second one to the right of it with an angle.

Maybe consider some superwide curved monitor ;)

Greg recently got a wide curved screen, very reasonably priced if i remember.

my rig is about 150cm long, 60 cm wide and about 130cm high. i have about 110cm total width space where my rig is so i dont think i have room for a decent 3 screen set up, although a second screen for info (unlikely gameplay, not sim racing anyhow) is appealing. prob have to settle for VR when i have the money.

    edit:

if you fancy building a rig yourself, instructions can be found in post #1 here

I do that. I have a main screen I use for gaming and then the second screen I use for whatever. I think three monitors would be cool for a dedicated sim rig but for anything else it's simply excessive. One is enough.

    Yep Simon is reasonable price.

For the future i'm thinking about VR (Oculus) I don't have space for 3 monitors.

First of all I must to searching for a guy that let me try Oculus, I don't wanna have surprise with motion sickness, after must change my GPU and buy the visor..... ah ... I hope to have enough money for this!
